More often than not, career informs life, but for the lucky, the reverse is true. Such was the case for the designer and owner of Rug Art. Trained botanical illustrator Sigal Sasson received a freshly plucked dandelion from her four-year-old daughter, who asked her motherto draw it. As Sigal tried to fulfill therequest, the dandelion's seeds blew away, escaping on the wind. The ephemeral beauty of that moment and its mood are captured in her Bliss carpet. It is a wool and silk blend, woven in Tibet with precisely shaped floral abstractions in shades of black, gray, and violet, with 100 knots per square inch.

Other highlights in the collection include Zaza, with hand-drawn flowers; graphic Bona; boldy striped Cano; and Shambala, alive with a thick line drawing that creates the truncated floral pattern.

All measure 6 feet by 9 feet, and are wool-silk blends. 877-478-4278; rug-art.net. circle 637
