Color Invades New York at IIDA Fall Party

The Metropolitan Pavilion transforms for 2008 IIDA Color Invasion.

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 10/8/2008

On October 22, the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) New York chapter will present Color Invasion 2008 at New York's Metropolitan Pavilion. This year’s fall event theme, POP! is inspired by the vivid imagery of pop culture. Guests will enjoy colorful décor, food, drinks, and dancing from 7-11pm, all of which will reflect the POP! theme.

Sponsored by Interior Design, the annual event is both a tribute to design and a fundraiser for IIDA student scholarships and educational programs. In 2007, IIDA NY was able to award five $5,000 scholarships to New York interior design students. The chapter hopes that this year’s event will be just as successful.

During the evening’s festivities, IIDA NY will unveil its own new brand identity at Color Invasion developed by global design, planning and consulting firm Gensler, which includes a new logo, new forum branding, and a new website.

Tickets (not available at the door) are $150 and can be purchased online. Buy 10 or more tickets for a 10 percent discount. Attendees must be 21 or over.

The Metropolitan Pavilion is located at 125 West 18th Street.
