Here's this week's roundup of who's doing what and where in the design community.

Architecture and design firm HOK Group is selling HOK Sport Venue Event to the subsidiary's senior management, including HOK Sport Venue Event senior principal Joe Spear. The subsidiary, which is behind the new Yankee Stadium in New York and the Olympic Stadium for the London 2012 Olympics, has been part of HOK Group for 25 years. HOK Group also hired David Rush as vice president, interiors design director for its Atlanta office.
International design firm Perkins + Will has hired Mark Griffith as a senior associate in its Los Angeles office for the corporate, commercial and civic sectors, and Jon Pohl as associate principal, senior aviation project manager for its Chicago office.
Gerard Corcoran is the new CEO of international design consultancy DEGW. The firm also named Paul Morrell to its executive management team in the capacity of non-executive director.
Office furniture specialist Allsteel appointed Leonard Sperandeo as a regional government business manager for the Northwest region of the US, assuming responsibilities for business development for federal, state, and local government. For the past three years, he served as a regional manager in Folsom, CA. Mary Reiser will fill the vacancy left by Sperandeo.
Austin, Texas-based interior design firm PPDS has hired Lori Stepnoski as senior project designer, and Laura Friesen as project designer.
Patty Streiner is the new northeast regional sales manager for Indiana Furniture. The manufacturer has also contracted the Girvin Group as its sales representative in upstate New York.
