The green bragging rights are growing at flooring manufacturer Lonseal, which just achieved 14001:2004 certification from the International Organization for Standardization.
Following an audit of the company's facilities, the ISO found that Lonseal met the requirements for environmental management systems and recognized its commitment to sustainable processes and design practices.
Additionally, Lonseal was awarded ISO's 9001:2000 certification for upholding global standards for customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships. The manufacturer bagged a similar certification specific to the aviation industry, AS9100:2004, from the International Aerospace Quality Group, which also incorporates ISO 9001:2000.
"Quality, sustainability, and service are cornerstones of business," says Takashi Abe, president and chief operating officer at Lonseal. "We are thrilled to be recognized as a reputable provider of products that meet the highest standards upheld by these certifications and governing organizations."
