Nicholas Tamarin -- Interior Design, 3/7/2008

Interior designer Nestor Santa-Cruz is design director in the Washington, D.C. office of Gensler after stints at SKB Architects and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

Furniture manufacturer Kartell has announced that Paolo Cravedi stepped down as managing director for its United States division in order to pursue new opportunities.

Architecture, interior design, and engineering firm Cubellis has named Shawn Bland an associate, project manager for its Boston office.

Beverly Hills, California-based hospitality interiors firm Cheryl Rowley Design has appointed Bob LaCour director of interior architecture and named Armando Ramirez-Silva and Sergio Larios-Sainz to its senior team.

Interior Design contributing editor Aric Chen and designer Tobias Wong have been named creative directors of the 100% Design Shanghai 2008 interiors and furniture exhibition.

The Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects has hired Steve Riforgiato as its new membership manager.

Dutch commercial furniture manufacturer Royal Ahrend has purchased British office furniture manufacturer Techo UK after increasing its existing minority share in the company.

Technology and media furniture-supplier Bretford appointed Stewart Long to the newly created director of operations position.

Furniture designer and retailer Craig Van Den Brulle has given his store, formerly known as Capitol Furnishings, his own name and moved it to a larger location at 192 Elizabeth Street in New York's NoLita neighborhood.

Rimadesio, an Italian manufacturer of door, shelving, and closet systems, has opened its first North American showroom at 10 St. James Avenue in Boston.

Anthony Asprinio has joined Kerfkore, manufacturer of bendable substrates and panel products, as Northeastern regional sales manager.
