Designer Yves Béhar of San Francisco-based design and branding firm Fuseproject has created a boldly-colored water bottle that is also a children's toy. Designed for beverage producer Y Water, the stackable bottle is an interlocking set of building blocks, once combined with Y Knot biodegradable rubber connectors.

The nine-ounce bottles can be arranged into animals, space stations, and superheroes, among other configurations. The sturdy shell, also used in the medical industry, is Eastman’s Eastar copolyester, a 100 percent recyclable material that does not leach chemicals and is certified safe for food use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USDA).
The water, which contains only USDA-certified organic ingredients, comes in four flavors: Muscle Water, Bone Water, Immune Water, and Brain Water. The initial rollout will be available through Amazon and at Southern California Whole Foods Market locations.
The company also plans to offer a free mailer to send the bottle back for recycling.
