From Arik to Zaha

Lauren Rottet, principal of DMJM Rottet and member of the Interior Design Hall of Fame, adds "curator" to her résumé with "Imperative Design" at the Barbara Davis Gallery in Houston. The exhibition of furniture and industrial design "explicitly rejects the idea of disposable objects," Rottet says, and instead celebrates the everyday with functional artistic items.
