Château Rockwell

by Mark McMenamin -- Interior Design, 1/1/2008

Tones reminiscent of burgundy and chardonnay spill across the furnishings at Adour Alain Ducasse, the celebrated chef's new restaurant at the St. Regis Hotel, New York. Interior Design Hall of Fame member David Rockwell reconfigured the 2,500-square-foot former Lespinasse space as two dining rooms, a bar, and a lounge. With the wave of a customer's hand, motion-sensitive technology responds by projecting descriptions of vintages onto the bar's goatskin counter.
