Located in the city's financial district at 55 University Avenue, the 13,000-square-foot Toronto showroom, like the New York showroom, is designed in collaboration with Perkins + Will | Eva Maddox Branded Environments. IBI Group also contributed to the design.
The space replaces the firm's previous location at 48 Yonge Street and is housed in a building that has earned Go Green Certification from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Canada. To achieve Go Green Certification, the building demonstrated compliance with 10 key measures of good practice in resource consumption, waste reduction and recycling, building materials, interior environment, and tenant awareness.
Catering to designers, architects, real estate professionals, clients, and dealers, the Toronto showroom serves as a platform for Haworth's modular office furniture and adaptable workspaces, including moveable walls and raised access floors.
"Toronto business and design relationships are very important for Haworth and we welcome guests and customers to our new showroom," says Franco Bianchi, Haworth president and CEO. "As Canada’s economic capital and gateway to Canadian business, a showroom in this community strengthens Haworth’s position in the global marketplace."
