The Royal Institute of British Architects Commends Projects in Norfolk
The awards program recognizes trades people, architects, and building contractors.

The Royal Institute of British Architects has announced the winners of the 2007 Norfolk Association of Architects (NAA) Craftmanship Awards, held in collaboration with the National Federation of Builders.
Nine award winners and five commendations in seven categories are honored through the awards program, which lauds outstanding skills and craftsmanship by trades people, architects, and building contractors. This year, Norwich and London based architecture and interior design firm LSI Architects landed four of the nine awards. A specialist award singling out carpentry and joinery was also bestowed.
Projects must be completed under the direction of a member of the NAA to qualify; Judges are chaired by the Norfolk Association of Architects.
“We are giving Awards to those who have demonstrated that pride in their workmanship is all important at a time when mechanization implies that craftsmanship is not necessary; a well built brick wall or a beautiful piece of joinery will be a lasting joy,” says Roy Payne, Chairman of the NAA.
On April 23, industry professionals gathered at the Ramada Jarvis International Hotel, Norwich for a special awards ceremony.
