Izzydesign Seating is Certified Sustainable

The Greenguard certification recognizes izzyseating, HÅG by Izzy, and SuperiorSeating by Izzy.

Staff -- Interior Design, 5/24/2006

Furniture manufacturer Izzydesign has earned Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certification—for its entire line of seating products. The honor, awarded by the GreenGuard Environmental Institute, insures the Spring Lake, Michigan-based firm’s collection meets safe indoor air standards, without any restrictions or modifications to product design, materials, or processes.

Few manufacturers obtain the certification—fewer still for an entire line. The certification recognizes izzyseating, HÅG by Izzy, and SuperiorSeating by Izzy.

“Since we founded izzy, our goal has been to do more with less, and to help create a better world for future generations by having minimal impact on the environment,” says Chuck Saylor, president and founder of Izzydesign. “We’re doing that by introducing products that are designed, engineered and manufactured to be simple, flexible and durable.”

Architects and designers can use Greenguard certified products to achieve points within the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Sustainable Building Rating System.

Greenguard Environmental Institute, an industry-independent, non-profit organization, is dedicated to improving public health and quality of life through programs that improve indoor air.
