The Boffo Show House with Honorary Designer

Over 100 artists and designers came together to create the Boffo Show House, a temporary installation curated by artist Andrew Yes and open from May 15 through June 4 in the Madison Jackson building on New York's Lower East Side. Yes envisioned four unique apartments - themed to nature, future, work, and play - to transform a former public-school building into "a cutting edge experiment in living." The credits read like a who's who in contemporary design and manufacturing, the latter including heavyweights such as Artek, Kohler Co., Lladró, Marset, and Tres Tintas.
The future-themed living room included a sofa and chaise lounge by Ramon Esteve, a table by Piero Lissoni, and a crystal terrarium by Paula Hays. Meanwhile, the work-themed living room featured a lamp by Marcel Wanders and a sofa by Studio Cerri & Associati. And the nature-themed living room included ottomans by Patricia Urquiola, wallpaper by Pablo Piatti, a chair and stool by Max Lamb, and a dining table by Alex Gil.
