Crossville’s Latest Porcelain Tile Captures True Urban Sophistication

Crossville -- Interior Design, 5/29/2012 11:20:31 AM

The recycled gray porcelain tile recently created by Crossville for a major Chicago renovation project has inspired a whole new line. Shades by Crossville™ porcelain tile offers a fresh, urban look in a sleek range of minimalist colors.

Six shades of gray—ranging from warm to cool—are complimented by both warm and cool white hues and a rich, not-quite-black that completes the palette. The colors can stand alone to create monochromatic looks or mix-and-mingle for versatile, patterned designs. The subtle, linear details can be installed in directional harmony for a clean, expansive appearance or placed randomly to add interest and visual dimension.

Rectified and designed for modularity, Shades by Crossville comes in 24”x24”, 12”x24” and 6”x24” tiles. As part of Crossville’s “Get Planked” program, the line can also be produced in custom sizes for extended versatility and truly custom applications. Shades’ modern, decorative accents—1”x3” honed, stacked mosaics in warm, cool or white combinations and internationally-sourced metallic mosaics—offer stylized, finished designs.

Manufactured at Crossville’s plant in Crossville, Tenn., Shades by Crossville is produced with a minimum 20% recycled content. The line is suited for residential and commercial installations and may be used on interior floors and walls, as well as exterior walls.

Known for leading innovation, Crossville is a company of “firsts” for the U.S. tile industry: first to produce large format tile on site, first to manufacture tile with certified recycled content, first to develop the Tile Take-Back™ Program for recycling fired porcelain tile and first to achieve certification of its waste recycling programs and become a net consumer of waste.

Headed to NeoCon this year? You can see the Shades by Crossville up close at the company's booth number 8-9086. You can also visit www.CrossvilleInc.com, call 800.221.9093 for samples and follow Crossville, Inc. on Facebook and Twitter.
