Axor, the designer brand of the Hansgrohe company, has its roots firmly planted in the cobblestones of NYC’s chic Meatpacking District. In September, the brand opened its first North American design studio, Axor NYC, at 29 9th Avenue. The new 3000 square- foot space has been met with great enthusiasm by consumers and design professionals alike. It was designed to showcase the kitchen and bathroom’s role as a living space where creativity and innovation merge with personal preference and style. Axor NYC is equipped to offer a wide range of professional services, as well as a chance to experience exceptional bathroom solutions and superior water technology firsthand. The state-of-the-art studio has already hosted a wide range of events including educational seminars, interactive demonstrations and designer discussions. Industry partners as well as local organizations are invited to use the space for meetings and events.

This month, Axor NYC is launching a brand new tool for the local architect and designer community. The Axor NYC Sample Library gives the A & D community the opportunity to borrow a product from Hansgrohe/Axor’s inventory of popular faucets (mounted on acrylic/non-functioning) for up to one week.
The product will be sent, complimentary, via messenger service to any Manhattan-based office or the meeting site and picked up when finished.

From New York to the Black Forest, Axor is recognized globally for its exclusive collaboration with world-renowned architects and designers, working with them to create unique, sustainable solutions and “Designer Visions for the Bathroom”. The brand has a longstanding relationship with Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, and would like to congratulate Urquiola on her recent induction into the 2011 Interior Design Hall of Fame. Her collection is the first Axor collection designed by a woman and is the most comprehensive and complete bathroom line to date, extending from faucets to washbasins, bathtubs and accessories. Urquiola’s distinctive personality and feminine touch is seen in each and every element of this exciting and eclectic assortment. Her vision of a private living space that fuses different styles, objects, memories and emotions comes to life at Axor NYC. The design studio, which showcases the entire Axor line of products for the United States, also features individual vignettes of the Axor Starck ShowerCollection and Axor Citterio collections.
