This headquarters is as chic and sleek as the Italian shoes and jewelry that the company imports. Marking the passage of leadership from father to son, Joyce Wang's renovation scheme for the 10,000-square-foot space is appropriately forward-looking. The glass office tower's oval footprint determined the similar shapes of the Corian workstations, set beneath a rounded canopy in painted gypsum-board. Linearity takes the form of conical pendant fixtures, installed around the canopy's perimeter, and spokes of recycled Burmese teak, which radiate from the canopy toward private offices and meeting rooms with minimal furnishings and maximal Victoria Harbour views. In one of the meeting rooms, faceted ceiling panels of aluminum coated in automotive paint are as glossy as the lacquered tabletop and the fiberglass shell seats of chairs by Charles and Ray Eames. As for the wool-silk rug's tartan pattern, it's somewhat more Fife than Florence.
