Jon Bon Jovi sings about livin' on a prayer, but he's offering a better solution for struggling residents of Red Bank, New Jersey. He and his wife, Dorothea, have leased a former auto shop and-with Bonetti/Kozerksi Studio and Monique Gibson Interior Design, both working pro bono-are transforming it into Soul Kitchen. Opening in July, the pay-what-you-can restaurant plans to serve healthy meals prepared with local produce. The 1,100-square-foot interior seats 22, and there are additional tables on a patio next to the vegetable garden, where those who can't pay can volunteer.
