Infinite Variety

It's the year of the rabbit in the Chinese zodiac. But it's the year of the quilt for New York's American Folk Art Museum. In addition to exhibitions at the museum's two permanent locations, "Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts" kicks off a six-day run at the Park Avenue Armory on March 25. A private collector has lent the 650-plus quilts that Thinc Design will use for the installation, which will take over the armory's 55,000-square-foot column-free drill hall, floor-to-ceiling.
