Lightfair International

LIGHTFAIR International® (LFI) is the world's largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. LFI brings leading international and domestic architectural, design, engineering, energy and lighting professionals together with exhibitors from around the world. LFI 2011 in Philadelphia, PA is expecting more than 20,000 attendees and will feature more than 475 of the world's leading manufacturers showcasing products in more than 1,600 booths. Staged at the newly expanded Pennsylvania Convention Center, LFI takes place May 15-19, 2011.

The Pennsylvania Convention Center enables LFI, the world's largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, to expand its exhibitor base and featured pavilions across more than 170,000 sq. ft. of trade show floor space. While LFI is already poised for its largest show to date, the convention center expansion provides LFI the opportunity to exceed projected growth and continue to secure quality exhibitors leading up to the opening days of the show.

This year, the show floor is enhanced by the growing strength and awareness of the four pavilions, which spotlight new and innovative companies, product and projects from around the globe. They are the:

• Building Integration Pavilion, launched in 2010, features companies displaying solutions and products used to maximize and create energy-efficient buildings;
• Global Light + Design Pavilion, presents the world's finest decorative lighting solutions from internationally recognized manufacturers based outside of the U.S.;
• Daylighting Pavilion, the trade show counterpart to LFI's Daylighting Institute, focuses on architectural daylighting, daylight harvesting, energy efficiency and conservation, solar shading and natural light;
• Design Pavilion, showcases modern and classic decorative designs with a creative edge and innovative style.

Together, the four pavilions create a comprehensive showcase of the world's leading lighting designs and innovation in an unprecedented environment to stimulate, educate and inspire attendees from around the world.

The show floor is complemented and supported by an unparalleled lineup of educational programming in the LIGHTFAIR Conference and Institutes. With more than 70 courses taught by the industry's leading experts in a five-day run, the educational program is designed to educate attendees on the latest trends, innovations and business solutions. This year is no exception with the launch of the Retrofit and Upgrade track, focusing on a significant and timely topic of discussion for the lighting and energy industry. This seminar track concentrates on technologies and strategies for lighting interventions in buildings or projects that already exist, highlighting the challenges and advantages of integrating new lighting fixtures, controls and infrastructure into existing buildings.

The 2011 show and conference bring expanded trade show floor offerings and endless resources and education to the lighting, architecture and energy industries. And, it all takes place at LIGHTFAIR International this May.
