Birthday DinnerMilan’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile turns 50 next year. To get the celebration started, a host of activities is taking place under the banner I Saloni Milano in New York. Two events are cultural. “Perchance to Dream,” an exhibition curated by Robert Wilson, combines design with dance at Center 548, through December 18; and the cinematic Leonardo’s Last Supper: A Vision by Peter Greenaway makes its stateside debut at the Park Avenue Armory from December 3 through January 6. Then there’s Italian food. During the 40 days of “Italian Christmas,” November 29 through January 8, showrooms such as Flos, Kartell, and Poltrona Frau are offering free panettone.
