2010 Ultron Doc Award Competition

Ultron -- Interior Design, 10/18/2010 3:27:58 PM

Ultron ProductThe Ultron Doc Award is a symbol of outstanding achievement in contract design. The award is given annually to top professionals in the interior design profession in recognition of their achievement in orchestrating color, space, form, function and materials in interior projects.

The award also honors carpet mills for outstanding achievement in product design. Carpet products using Ultron nylon 6,6 carpet fiber are judged based on originality of design, overall aesthetic, pricing and usability in the contract environment.

The Ultron Doc Award competition was named to honor an inspirational leader in the contract interior design industry, Robert F. "Doc" Docherty. Doc was among the first in the industry to recognize the important role of the interior designer. Doc's passion for leading edge design continues to inspire the competition, and our celebration of the winners.

The 2010 Ultron Doc Award competition will be held online, and for the first time ever, the projects will be identified by design firm and carpet products used. We invite you to visit our site often for updates on the details of submitting projects and products in mid-October.

Project winners in the 2010 Ultron Doc Award competition will receive a DOC statue, $3,000, a full page ad in Interior Design magazine, and will become a member of the Ultron [Color Council].
