Here is your chance to test drive a hybrid and learn about alternative fuel. Materials manufacturer 3Form and car manufacturer Toyota have teamed up to launch the mobile educational museum “Highway to the Future: Mobile Hybrid Experience.” This week, the museum kicks off an 18-month nationwide tour in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
Attendees will have the opportunity to experience several interactive educational exhibits, focusing on the environment and alternative fuels, and test drive the Prius, Camry Hybrid, and Highlander Hybrid, all which include Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive system. The exhibit also includes a driving simulator, “The Prius Driving Experience,” complete with driving tips. The museum is slated to hit more than 150 locations.
3form will supply environmentally-friendly ecoresin architectural material for the exhibit design, such as the Greenguard-certified Bear Grass. Bear Grass sandwiches natural bear glass between two ecoresin panels containing 40 percent post-industrial recycled content.
In partnership with the National Arbor Day Foundation, Toyota will plant more than 50,000 trees to offset the museum’s carbon footprint.
