Few designers capture warmth and home comfort in a minimalist setting as well as S. Russell Groves does. Fashion Group International, an association dedicated to promoting global trends—in fashion, beauty, and home industries—that influence changing culture and lifestyle, recognized these and more attributes of the designer by awarding Groves the Fourth Annual Rising Star Award in the category of interior design. The New York-based designer was chosen from among 28 overall nominations this June. The 2001 celebrity judge for this category was Clodagh, who expressed admiration for Groves's high level of refinement and ability.
