Searching for a way to live green? A new online resource can help you find eco-friendly apartment complexes, condominium developments, and residential housing communities around the globe. The Green Living Home Directory offers free and quick access to sustainable homes, as well eco-conscious tips to design, build, remodel, and furnish your new digs.

Featuring 70 green residential communities—with more on the way—the guide helps homeowners and renters bent on reducing their environmental impact. Several of the options available have either received or are in the process of applying for LEED certification from the U.S. Green Business Council.

Information on local green interior designers, builders, architects, realtors, and other professionals dedicated to green living is also available, in a user-friendly format. Resources cover energy efficient and non-toxic homes, eco-friendly interiors, and residential solar and wind energy systems.

The guide is the brainchild of environmental entrepreneur Josh Dorfman. Dorfman is the founder and CEO of sustianable design firm Vivavi and host of talk radio show The Lazy Environmentalist.

“So much green innovation is underway in the housing industry and we’re excited to introduce individuals to options they never knew existed," says Dorfman.
