Furniture manufacturer Herman Miller has purchased Seattle-based manufacturer of healthcare furniture Brandrud Furniture. Details of the agreement--finalized last week--were not released.
Expected to report $20 million in sales for 2007, Brandrud produces seating products for patient rooms, patient treatment areas, and public spaces including lobbies and waiting areas. The firm's relationship with Herman Miller began in 2005, when it became a member of its group of alliance partners.
Brandrud co-presidents and former owners Lee Falck and Bobby Holt will retain their positions.
"Brandrud and Herman Miller share similar values and a commitment to research and development, which makes this an ideal arrangement," says Falck. "We're eager to pursue the next level of opportunities
that exist within the healthcare environment."
Herman Miller reported over $1.9 billion in revenue during fiscal 2007.
We would love your feedback!
