New Furniture Show Shares ICFF Location

IINY is sponsored in part by Interior Design.

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 12/12/2005 12:00:00 AM

New York Design Week just gets bigger and better. From May 20-23, 2006, a new furnishings event will take place in conjunction with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). International Interiors New York (IINY), originally planned for New York’s Passenger Ship Terminal Piers, has instead reserved a spot at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center North Pavilion.

A badge for either of the events--expected to attract 20,000 interior designers, architects, facility managers, wholesalers, store designers and home furnishings retailers and buyers--grants access to both. IINY will feature over 200 exhibitors of fine furniture, home décor, arts & crafts masterpieces and rare objects, tableware, fabrics, seating, lighting, carpet & flooring, wall coverings, accessories, kitchen and bath and outdoor furniture for residential and commercial interiors. In addition to the cutting-edge ideas and products, the show will offer seminars, promotions and industry events.

“The event’s close proximity to ICFF will lend itself to convenience and will create a more dynamic marketplace,” says Phil Robinson, senior vice president, of George Little Management, which produces IINY. The 18th annual ICFF will showcase more than 500 exhibitors of contemporary furniture, seating, lighting, carpet and flooring, wall coverings, textiles, accessories, kitchen and bath, outdoor furniture, and materials for residential and commercial interiors.
