Interface Sells Dealer Network

Ron Lee will lead the Resource Commercial Flooring management team.

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 3/30/2006 12:00:00 AM

Resource Connect, the aligned dealer network for Interface Carpet, is now a member-owned organization, under the new name, the Resource Commercial Flooring Network. The carpet manufacturer announced yesterday the completion of the sale of the 10-year-old network, which consists of 78 independently-owned and operated floorcovering companies located throughout the United States and Mexico.

The move will not incur much change—Interface's affiliated carpet mills, Interface Flooring Systems, and Bentley Prince Street will remain vendors to the network.

Resource Commercial Flooring’s management team will be led by executive director, Ron Lee, a founding member of the StarNet Cooperative dealer network. Lee, according to press material, will continue catering towards the specific needs of customers in specialized market segments and integrating products and services.

The network intends to maintain the Interface environmental philosophy: “We will continue to differentiate ourselves with a greener network,” says Lee, “offering access to the industry's most successful reclamation and recycling program, Interface's ReEntry program, and providing our dealers with the tools they need to continue greening their businesses."
