Casa Pardo

Mark McMenamin -- Interior Design, 11/1/2007 12:00:00 AM

The colorful work of Jorge Pardo frequently walks an indiscernible line between art and design. So who better to feature in an exhibition opening two days before Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami?

"Jorge Pardo: House" at North Miami's Museum of Contemporary Art is organized as a series of vignettes representing kitchen, dining room, bedroom, garden, etc. The installations incorporate more than 60 key sculptures and paintings, from early pieces to recent ones. Photomurals of Pardo's own Los Angeles house and previous site-specific projects round out the offerings. December 4–March 2; 305-893-6211; mocanomi.org.
