Q: Motivation
-- Interior Design, 5/1/2009 12:00:00 AM
For our annual office issue, we asked, "If you could have any view from your desk, what would motivate you most?"
"A pond full of koi, seeing them moving, their colors flickering past. But I'd never get my work finished." —Mark Rios of Rios Clementi Hale Studios
"In my make-believe world, I'd combine the Great Pyramids, the Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, Victoria Falls, California redwoods, Mount Everest, the Great Barrier Reef, the Aran Islands, and the aurora borealis." —Leslie Jones of IA Interior Architects
"A field of sunflowers. They're strong and proud but not rigid. They dance and move as if listening to music. And they share what they have to offer—breathtaking color, nectar, seeds." —Tracy Grosspietsch of Studio G Interiors
"My designers manipulating our studio environment into a living laboratory for experimentation, invention, collaboration, and fun." —Jeff Sharpe of SHW Group
"There are so many things. The Alps, a field of lupines, Maine's rocky coast. With the economy, though, I would just like to see people with smiles on their faces." —Lori LaRochelle of InEx Interior Design
