NeoCon East Turns Five

More than 250 exhibitors will showcase their wares at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Ayesha Gallion -- Interior Design, 7/16/2007 12:00:00 AM

Baltimore-based NeoCon East celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, and an extensive and diverse program is underway. The interior design, architectural, and facilities management tradeshow, which will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center October 17-18, will feature more than 250 exhibitors, a roster of industry-renowned keynote speakers, and an array of special events.

Some 7,500 attendees--architects, designers, manufacturers, and federal procurement officers, students, and other industry professionals--will choose from keynotes featuring GSA Chief Architect Leslie Shepherd and Barclays Capital Associate Director/Engineering Manager David Rinard. Among the exhibits geared to wow and educate members of the commercial design community are the Greenlife Polar Ice Cap Café, the Environmental Effect Mirror, and Tour 4 the Cure. Also on hand are awards programs highlighting innovators in the federal design community, 45 classes, and 30+ CEU-accredited seminars and forums.

Returning highlights include the Buildings Show, featuring building solutions for new construction and renovation projects, and encompassing eco platform Greenlife: Products for Sustainable Environments and the Architecture Stone and Ceramic Tile Exposition

Registration and all 60-minute seminars are free for government employees with I.D. General Services Administration-sponsored seminars are also complimentary for all attendees.

Additional information on events such as the Opening Night-Kick Off Party, Designer Direct Tour, and the IIDA Principal’s Roundtable will be available online at a later date.
