Now and Zen
In preparation for a new showroom opening in SoHo, English designer Christopher Lefroy Brooks has created a new collection of 20 contemporary fixtures called the XO collection. All hardware is handcrafted in stainless steel (with a brushed or glassblast finish) and comes with a coordinating group of accessories, created by using the lost wax technique usually found when casting sculpture. The chinaware is made of white ceramic. "More and more," says the designer, "the bathroom is becoming a temple, a spiritual place in which we treasure privacy and quietude. We're going back to something very simple." Lefroy Brooks, 21 Crosby Street, New York, NY 10013.
