American Society for Healthcare Engineering Bestows Vista Awards
The awards were announced at the 2007 International Conference and Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design and Construction.

The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) recently revealed the 2007 recipients of the Vista Awards, recognizing teamwork in healthcare design and the built environment.
Announced at the 2007 International Conference and Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design and Construction in San Antonio, the awards were bestowed in three categories.
The Sue and Bill Gross Women’s Pavilion at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, California took the prize in the New Construction category. Projects in this category must be built from the ground up. In the Renovation category, honoring organizations that have altered existing facilities or added new space to existing structures, the award was bestowed to the Maimonides Cancer Center at the Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn. The Memorial Hermann Flood Mitigation Infrastructure Replacement at the Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center in Houston was awarded in the Infrastructure category, recognizing utility generation, distribution, or control systems projects.
The Vista Awards were established in 1993.
ASHE is a personal membership group of the AHA, representing more than 7,000 facilities managers, engineers, clinical engineering/ medical equipment managers, and professionals in the fields of facility management, healthcare design, construction, and safety.
