Groundworks

The dynamic designs and vibrant colors of Stephen Elrod's Carnaby Street collection invoke London during the swinging '60s. Our favorite is Newburgh Paisley linen, which freshens up the classic with a simplified pattern, oversize scale, and bright hues. At Lee Jofa. Visit site.

Savel

The rich look of leather never goes out of style, so we're always seeking new takes on this classic. Our latest discovery is a woven bovine leather with a wonderful feel and rich coloration. At Niermann Weeks. Visit site.

Galbraith & Paul

A clean color palette enlivens the spare and elegant Smokebush. Block- printed on linen, the pattern is suitable for drapery or upholstery. Visit site.

Unika Vaev

The Del Mar collection, by Dorothy Cosonas, includes four fabrics: Balcón, based on filigreed wrought iron; Playa, a speckled solid; Parasol, a woven texture; and El Paseo, a wool-nylon blend that looks like a curiously casual pinstripe. Visit site.

K5

The Exotik collection of hand-printed linens owes its bold colors and loose geometry to original art inspired by Richard Rowland's honeymoon in the tropics. The designs were reinterpreted by Sheila Sculley, who hand-batiked and screen-printed the looks. From left: Frangipane, Kuba Stripe, Seaweave, Kubik, Pok, and Banana. Visit site.

The Designtex Group

The Jet Setter collection embraces global influences. A Persian embroidered pattern embellishes the faux matelassé Bodrum, a polyester-cotton blend. Havana, a floral on polyester, can be commercially laundered. Visit site.

KnollTextiles

With its cool graphics and surprising color combinations, Autobahn is a definite traffic-stopper. The polyester-rayon fabric is sturdy enough for hospitality and corporate environments. Visit site.

Donghia Furniture/Textiles

We're hard-pressed to find a fabric more summer-friendly than Gatsby. Thanks to slack-tension weaving, this updated seersucker boasts alternating smooth and crinkled stripes. Visit site.
