The April 30 deadline to apply for interior design scholarships from the Art Institute of California-San Francisco is fast approaching.

The institute is encouraging high school seniors and foreign students to apply for awards for as much as $70,000 each in scholarship money.

Students seeking an application should e-mail the school at aisfadm@aii.edu, or call 888-493-3261.

Successful applications will fulfill general admission guidelines and competition guidelines, including a 250-word essay, educational resume, letters of recommendation, entry form and artwork samples.

The Art Institute of California-San Francisco offers a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design, among other design fields. More information can be found at the Art Institute's Web site at www.AICASF.aii.edu.
