Call for Papers on Kitchen and Bath Design

Papers may be between 5 and 30 pages long.

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 8/1/2007 12:00:00 AM

The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and the Housing Education and Research Association (HERA) are seeking papers, due April 1, 2008, on kitchen and bath design. Select submissions will be published in Housing and Society, the official HERA journal.

Focusing on kitchen and bath design in the home, the 2008 issue of Housing and Society will be distributed to HERA members, throughout the NKBA, and to libraries around the world. Publication is tentatively slated for Fall 2008.

Most of the selected papers--between 5 and 30 pages long--will be authored by NKBA Endorsed Programs educators, NKBA member adjunct faculty and HERA members, according to NKBA officials.

Topics can range from sustainable design, technology in kitchens and baths, and universal design to industry trends, best practices, and teaching methods and techniques.

Manuscript style guidelines are available online.

NKBA is a non-profit trade association. HERA promotes excellence in the planning, development, delivery and service of decent, safe, sanitary, affordable, ecologically sound and appropriately designed housing for all people.
