Whitespace.bz Ushers in a Modern Method to Specify Flooring

The brand's lines are NSF-140 Gold certified for sustainability, and constructed with 100 percent Antron nylon fibers.

The 21st-century is ushering in a new generation of designers, and with that comes new technologies, new resources, and modern methods to specify products. Staying on the up and up, The Dixie Group recently launched a new soft-surface flooring division called Whitespace.bz. The new carpet brand is 100-percent web-based and is the first of its kind to serve the interiors market exclusively from an online platform.

Reinventing the way a designer specifies product, Whitespace eliminates the traditional sales organization and replaces it with a series of online information experts, real time assistance via chat, true-color online digital photography, and product samples with made-to-order swatchboxes. Designers who do their best work outside of normal business hours have 24-hour access to the brand's modular and broadloom collections seven days a week.

The new online brand also garners praise for its environmentally sensitive business model, as the web-based specification process helps reduce the company’s carbon footprint, in addition to providing exclusively eco-friendly products. The brand’s lines are NSF-140 Gold Certified for sustainability, and constructed with 100 percent Antron nylon fibers.

“Whitespace.bz , at its core, is the most environmentally sensitive way to go about your carpet selection process,” Ken Dempsey, Whitespace president. “It is about giving you the tools you need, and only the tools that you need and request, when you need them.”
