It's been a bit of a secret that Gandia Blasco, known for svelte outdoor furnishings, has gained a steady foothold in flooring. The latest collection of rugs, many by Odos Design, might well transform the murmurs into shouts. After ideas are finalized in Valencia, Spain, the rugs are hand-tufted in India with New Zealand wool.

Of the two round rugs, 7½ feet in diameter, Caleido features a kaleidoscopic basket-weave pattern in white pile swirling across a brown field, while Trama's starburst in white on black echoes Middle Eastern fretwork. Raised dots in white or gold emerge in an arabesque from a field of black or white in Ondas; the dots get denser with Etnia, offered in black-and-white only.
