"Prairie Skyscraper: Frank Lloyd Wright's Price Tower" toasts the upcoming 50th birthday of the architect's only tall building. Wright himself called it the "tree that escaped the crowded forest"—he initially intended the design for New York in the 1920's, then created an adaptation in 1956 for the H.C. Price Co. in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Organized by the Price Tower Arts Center, now housed on the two lower levels of the building and several floors higher up, "Prairie Skyscraper" celebrates its history with a presentation of 108 drawings, models, photographs, and furnishings, from desks and chairs to textiles. Zaha Hadid, the architect of the arts center's future 50,000-square-foot addition, designed the show's installation. October 14–January 15; 918-336-4949; pricetower.org.
