In an effort to support the hospitality industry's ongoing efforts to slash its carbon footprint, the 93rd annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show, November 9-11 in New York's Jacob K. Javits Center, will feature green educational programming and special exhibitor and product awards highlighting sustainable resources.
For the first time, the show will feature a green-themed keynote speech, delivered by Christine Ervin, former president and CEO of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and the woman behind the launch of the LEED rating system. Ervin will present her speech, "Sustainability," on Sunday November 9. Also speaking will be Green Lodging News editor and publisher, Glenn Hasek, who will present his "Energy Miser All Stars: Conservation Lessons from the Best," on Saturday, November 8. The seminar will feature owners and operators who have cut annual energy costs.
"With the sustainability movement continuing to strengthen, we're pleased to present an opportunity for 35,000 industry professionals to learn from noted experts in the field, understand eco-friendly best practices being applied by hospitality operators and discover the latest products that will assist in their 'going green' efforts," says show manager Lynn White.
We would love your feedback!
