Visitors to green building and business conference West Coast Green in San Jose, California will have the opportunity to hear from a former U.S. vice president, now one of the biggest names in green: Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore will deliver the keynote address at the San Jose Convention Center Saturday, September 27 at 9:30 a.m.
"Addressing both the challenges and significant opportunities that humanity is facing requires significant innovation in technology, business, and building and we are extremely excited to hear Mr. Gore's timely exploration of the intersection of these industries," says Christi Graham, founder and CEO of West Coast Green.
Gore is one of four keynote speakers -- the list also includes best-selling authors Sarah Susanka and David Suzuki, and Hunter Lovins.
West Coast Green will feature more than 380 exhibitors and over 100 presentations by industry leaders. Innovative ideas on display will include a single-family showhouse made from reuse shipping containers, a bike that creates clean water, the world's most energy efficient computer, and a green roof garden.
Organizers expect the event to draw some 14,000 attendees.
