Pantone and Interior Design Call for Entries

Two winners will each receive a $2,500 cash prize.

Interior Design has teamed up with color system provider Pantone for a new competition, Color: Outside the Lines. Entries for the contest, which will recognize innovation in interior color application, are due June 30.

Designers are invited to share interior design projects which successfully and creatively use color in either commercial and/or residential settings. Pantone color specialists and Interior Design editor-in-chief Cindy Allen will select two winners, to each receive a $2,500 cash prize and a commemorative certificate sponsored by Pantone. Winning projects will be published in the September 2006 issue of Interior Design, and receive recognition on InteriorDesign.net and Pantone.com.

Designers must submit an entry form, a brief description, and if available, Pantone color names or numbers that best represent colors employed.

Projects will be judged based on use of innovative color combinations, use of color in relation to texture and finishes, and overall application of color.
