Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum (HOK) has a $300-million project on the horizon in Atlanta. The Global architecture firm’s Atlanta office will create the master plan for the Riverwood Mixed-Use Development, serving as project architect in partnership with developer Seven Oaks Company.
An expansion of an office building site designed by architect John Portman, Riverwood is based on the idea of a community which offers a place to live, work, and play. The project encompasses a 14-story LEED-certified office building, 180-room hotel, two 250-unit residential towers, a 350,000-square-foot, 37,000 square feet of office and condo space, and street-level retail and restaurant space. To meet parking demands, decks will be constructed underneath buildings, supplying 1,000 spaces. HOK will also design the LEED-certified office building.
“The Riverwood mixed-use project builds on the success of its neighbors – the Cumberland Mall, the Cobb Galleria and the much anticipated new Cobb County Performing Arts Center,” says Bill Halter, HOK Atlanta design director. “The site is one of the highest in Atlanta and the views from much of the project will be unmatched.”
We would love your feedback!
