Organizers of an international industrial design competition in Slovenia are seeking international product design. Entries to the 21st Biennial of Industrial Design (BIO) awards are due April 11.
Launched in 1964, the BIO awards are billed as one of the top honors in Central European design. The program recognizes new products in three categories--industrial design, visual communications, and design concepts--and is open to designers, commissioners, producers, mentors, and students. This year, for the first time, an international jury will select winners.
Entries should be "design projects that propose creative and innovative solutions to the problems of life today, are oriented toward sustainable development and social responsibility, and address the special needs of various groups of users."
Winners will be showcased in an exhibit at the Architecture Museum of Ljubljana in Ljubljana, Slovenia, October 2-November 2.
Submission information is available online.
We would love your feedback!
