A Soft Touch

Squishy isn't a word typically used to describe bath fixtures and flooring, but there's little that's conventional about Puntmobles's Boing line by Estudio ZYX. Made of an inert polyurethane foam that doesn't off-gas chlorofluorocarbons or hydrofluorocarbons, these indoor-outdoor products don't fade in artificial and UV light. (All come in three to six colors—most notably a sunny yellow.)
The five sink styles, which are hung from the wall via a concealed anchoring system, are designed for water heated up to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, slip-resistant Ad Hoc floor tiles snap together in a 33-inch-square polyurethane-coated tray fitted with a resin draining base; the tray's sides assist in assembly as well as in catching water.
The line has a cousin in Emiliana Design Studio's thimble-inspired Dedal, a wet/dry 22-inch-high nesting stool with an integral handle; it's ideal for spas and pool terraces. 48 Calle Islas Baleares, 46988 Fuente del Jarro, Valencia, Spain; 34-961-343-272; puntmobles.es. circle 324
