Delhi Select

Edited by Craig Kellogg -- Interior Design, 10/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

A sprawling complex for 100 of India's furnishings manufacturers—think Bangalore silk, Varanasi rugs, Mumbai textiles, Moradabad metal—opens in February in Delhi. The ambitious 350,000-square-foot International Home Deco Park, set on 5 acres, bundles exhibitors with shipping company representatives, buying agents, a photography studio, a business center, and a restaurant, all accessible solely to foreigners. Sharda Exports Group is responsible for the environmentally conscious master plan, which involves recycling rainwater and "gray water" for air-conditioning and landscaping.
