Green Roof Conference in Baltimore

Sessions include Green Roof Design 101.

From April 29-May 3, building professionals will convene in Maryland April 29-May 3 to share the most current information on a growing trend: Green roofs. The 6th annual Greening Rooftops for Sustainable Communities Conference, Awards and Trade Show will offer over 50 sessions and green products and services from more than 75 exhibitors.

Geared towards architects, landscape architects, roofing professionals, green roof researchers, horticulturalists, urban planners, facility managers and developers, policy makers, and anyone with an interest in green roofs and green buildings, the event is organized by the City of Baltimore and Green Roofs for Healthy Cities,(GRHC) a not-for-profit industry association working to promote the green roof industry in North America.

Sessions will address four major topics:

1. Policies and Programs to Support Green Roofs
2. Green Roof Design and Implementation
3. Research and Technical Papers on Green Roof Performance
4. Networking & Information Forums on Current Green Roof Topics

Full-day sessions include Green Roof Design 101, Green Roof Design and Installation 201, Green Roof Waterproofing and Drainage 301, and Green Wall Design 101.
