The Hospitality Industry Network Seeks Design Entries

Winners will be feted at an evening gala at Wynn Las Vegas October 4.

Once again, the Hospitality Industry Network seeks to honor the best talent coming out of the Southern Nevada area. Submissions to the 5th Annual NEWH Las Vegas HOSPY (Hospitality) Awards competition, recognizing excellence in architecture, design, and development, are due September 3.

The awards program is open to designers, architects, builders and general contractors operating in the Southern Nevada area that have completed a new construction or renovation project anywhere in the world between January 1, 2006 and June 30.

Firms outside Southern Nevada that have completed a new construction or a renovation in Southern Nevada during the timeline are also welcome to apply. Proceeds benefit students in the hospitality industry, including the culinary arts, architecture, design, and hotel management/operations.

Categories include:

  • Grand Hotel

  • Midsize Hotel

  • Boutique Hotel

  • Lobby

  • Buffet

  • Interiorscape

  • Theatre

  • Typical Room

  • Suite  

  • Condo-Hotel Room

  • Time share Room

  • Casino Space

  • Night Club

  • Ballroom Convention Space

  • Country Club

  • Fine Dining Restaurant

  • Spa

  • Casual Restaurant

  • Landscape Hospitality Retail Space

  • LEED - CI

Winners will be toasted on October 4 at a gala dinner at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Up to five finalists will also be named in each category. A VIP reception will be held prior to the event, with invitations extending to two guests from each submitting firm.
