Jet Set

Jen Renzi -- Interior Design, 3/1/2001 12:00:00 AM

Virgin Atlantic Airways has added another layer of luxe to first class travel: a stylish new lounge (above) in the San Francisco airport's just-completed International Terminal. Designed by Eight, Inc. in conjunction with Virgin's in-house team, the 4,500-sq.-ft. Clubhouse lounge features mod furniture, dark wood paneling, a rotating exhibit of digital works by local artists, and panoramic views of the city. A destination in and of itself, the space offers travelers the option to tune in (by hooking up to laptop access points) or tune out (thanks to a 36-ft. glass bar and commodious daybeds) prior to departure.
