Ready to reign in Spain? Tile of Spain is looking for architects and interior designers to fill open spots for a free junket to the mother country from February 5 to 13 that includes a trip to Cevisama, the annual International Ceramic Tile and Bath Furnishings Show in Valencia.

Tile of Spain, the umbrella brand managed jointly by the Miami-based Trade Commission of Spain and the Valencia-based Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturer’s Association (ASCER), will bring a minimum of three architects and designers on the trip, that will begin by traveling to Granada, via Madrid. The group, which will include members of the organizations, as well as U.S.-based journalists, will spend several days exploring the city’s culturally and architecturally significant sites, including the storied Alhambra Palace. On February 9, the caravan will travel to Valencia, the business epicenter for Spain’s ceramic tile industry, to attend Cevisama as well as factory tours and a press conference.

To qualify for the jaunt, architects and interior designers must return an application by December 23, live in the United States, and be accredited with AIA, ASID, and/or IIDA. Participants will be chosen based upon the quality of their answers to questions on the application, with preference given to those who demonstrate and affinity for or the past use of ceramic tile. Those selected will be notified by January 8.
