On November 29, carpet fiber manufacturer Solutia revealed the 2006 winners of its annual Doc Awards program, recognizing outstanding achievement in contract interior design and product design. To participate, entries must incorporate Solutia’s Ultron nylon 6,6 fiber.
A total of 140 projects and 30 carpet products came in for the awards program. Projects were judged based on color, space, form, function, and materials; and products were judged based on originality of design, overall aesthetics, pricing and usability in the contract environment
