Many design firms are feeling the crunch of the uncertain economy these days, but industry leaders like Hall of Famer Lauren Rottet prove that it is possible to keep the momentum high even during tough times. Principal-in-charge of DMJM Rottet (a subsidiary of AECOM Technology Corporation) since 1994, Rottet recently transitioned to her own independent practice, Rottet Studio.

The young firm’s business plan includes seven offices around the globe, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Scottsdale, Houston, and Shanghai. After years of experience in the industry Rottet has partnered with a Rolodex of several talented colleagues—Richard Riveire, AIA,  David Davis, AIA, and Kelie Mayfield—ensuring the firm’s future success.

“With my longtime colleagues, I made the decision to found Rottet Studio based on my belief in integrated, creative and client-focused design,” said Rottet. “Our new firm supports that creative process and delivers highly personalized service. The unique focus of Rottet Studio seeks to combine aesthetics with functionality, a mission that has always been my first priority.”

Studio will be a full-service firm offering design services ranging from commercial and hospitality interiors to base building architecture and expertise across the commercial markets and corporate real estate spectrum. Longterm plans also include furniture and product design, branding, and graphics.
